Pleated Conservatory Blinds

The combination of our unique Pure™ technology with Solar Design™ pleated fabrics…

Complex Shapes,
For Heat, Glare And Privacy

Available exclusively from Specialist Blinds, our Pleated blinds have been specifically designed for use in UK conservatories. so they can be made to fit any shape of conservatory roof or window much neater than generic blinds.

What Makes Our Pleated Blinds Different?

We’ve been selling bespoke conservatory blinds for over 30 years, and in that time we’ve developed technologies and techniques that set our blinds above others.

CONTROL HEAT, LIGHT AND GLARE

Our solar reflective fabrics work in conjunction with solar glazing so that you reduce heat from solar gain; without the risk of damaging your glass.

A UNIQUE FIT

Our shaped pleated conservatory roof blinds can be made to the narrowest top apex width, so they cover much more of the glass and fit so much neater around central boss mouldings.

They are designed to fit individual panes of glazing, which makes them easier to operate. Individual shaped blinds look so much neater than a doubled-up design layout, which also conforms to the requirements set out by all of the major roof manufacturers.

DESIGNED TO LAST

Our Solar Design™ pleated fabrics are completely washable and have permanent pleats. They won’t rot, fade or oxidise on contact with dead insects.

They are also designed to be easy to maintain, so you can keep your blinds looking like new for years to come.

ATTENTION TO DETAIL

Our coordinating blind cords are available in matching colours. As a result, they don’t stand out against the fabric like they do on other conservatory blind ranges.

Have a question? We are here to help

We have a wide range of solar reflective fabrics available, in various different colour ranges. You can choose from our popular neutrals, greys and blues, etc. There are far too many different fabrics to show on our website, so the best way to see our full range is to arrange a consultation with your local sales person.

Unlike other fabrics, which you can only spot-clean, you can actually full wash our Solar Design™ pleated fabrics.

What this means is that, if you have a manual blind, you can completely un-clip the blind from it’s fittings, and both rinse it off with a shower head or hand wash it in water using a pH-neutral cleaning product.

After drying, you can then re-clip your blinds looking like new.

Absolutely, all of our conservatory pleated roof blinds use the same Solar Design™ fabrics for the windows. Alternatively, you can choose a contrasting colour or different blind style for the windows if you prefer.

Yes! Our team have been making pleated blinds for conservatories for over 30 years. We specialise in roof blinds, no matter how complex the shapes. Your pleated conservatory roof blinds can be motorised or manually operated with a pole.

Many of our clients choose pleated blinds for conservatories to help reduce heat in summer. The solar reflective fabrics have been designed to withstand extreme temperatures without fading, so are perfect for hot sunny days. Alternatively, honeycomb fabrics are often chosen if heat loss in winter is the main concern. Both styles are ideal for privacy, shade and creating a useable room throughout the year.

Definitely! All of our blinds are hand-crafted in our own factory, so everything is made from scratch to your exact requirements.

Your local design consultant will help you choose the best blinds for your needs. Once you’ve placed an order, one of our installation team will return to take the precise measurements needed to manufacture your made-to-measure pleated blinds. No matter how simple or complex your glazing is, we’ll create a solution to fit.

It depends how much shaped glazing you have in your conservatory and how large each roof panel is. Clip in conservatory roof blinds are made with a frame all the way around; which can take up a fair amount of space and reduce the light coming into the room. For triangular blinds there will be a large area in the point that is permanently covered by the framework.

By comparison, our Pure™ pleated blinds just have a slim rail top and bottom rather than a frame. Therefore, they have a much narrower profile for fitting into awkward shapes. If you’d like further advice, or would like to see working models of the blinds, please contact us to arrange a consultation.
