Folding doors have become a popular trend in homes around the UK, however many have trouble finding ways to cover the doors to best suit their design. For most sets of folding doors, we generally recommend recess fitted blinds that fit into each individual panel of the door. This is usually the neatest way of both covering the glass while not interfering with the operation of the doors. However, there are some instances where instead of doing that we fit free-hanging wide blinds in front of the folding doors.
There are several reasons we might do this, such has having doors that don’t have the necessary beading depth for a proper recess fit or wanting the ability to have the blinds extended while the doors are open (only if the doors fold outwards).
There are also many benefits to using Roller Fabrics, such as:
Available in wide range of different roller blind fabrics that match the room decor.
Upgrade to our premium roller blind fabrics that allow for some degree of translucency, allowing you to keep some of your view when the blinds are extended.
One of the benefits of this style of installation is that, it allows for motorisation, so that you are able to control them with just a touch of a button. Both of the blinds shown here are actually electric blinds, but yet are still small and neat enough to be out of the way when not in use.
