Pure™ pleated conservatory window blinds
Recess-fitted pleated window blinds with Melon solar reflective fabric in a UPVC conservatory with tinted polycarbonate roof.
This image shows that P-shape conservatories have an external corner which means that you can view the recessed blinds "edge-on" and see any gaps. Bearing in mind that this is a real conservatory and not a staged photograph, compare this image to any standard pleated blinds and you will see the enormous difference. The only gaps visible, even at this "edge-on" angle, are where the pleats extend inwards towards the glass by a few millimetres.

Pleated Blinds
Pleated blinds in a gable end conservatory. These Solar Design pleated conservatory blinds are in Cornhusk Crush solar reflective fabric.
The roof blinds are butted up tight to the tie bars to minimise any gaps. Because the tie bars are relatively high up the rafters, the option of cut-outs at this point would have made the blinds part-operational and so was not recommended.
This Yorkshire conservatory blinds customer was originally considering vertical blinds but could see that they would tend to smother the conservatory, conceal the opening windows and use up the window sills. The pleated window blinds are recess-fitted so that they only occupy the glazed area, allowing the windows to be opened and retaining the window sills. Vertical blinds in a conservatory
89mm vertical blinds, Venice Bianco fabric, fitted to the windows of a conservatory in Hampshire, with Apple coloured pleated blinds in the roof.
The doors have white pleated blinds rather than vertical blinds so that they do not move in the wind, or become damaged by the doors or people walking through them.

Remote control pinoleum blinds
Pinoleum roof and window blinds in a UPVC conservatory in Surrey. The blinds are quite large - the biggest roof blinds are approx. 1.5m x 3.3m (about 5' x 11') with a doubled-up layout (one blind covering 2 or more panes of glass).
These pinoleum blinds also have solar-reflective lining stitched into the back, creating the highest performance for any blinds in respect of heat insulation, noise insulation and reduction of UV without losing the natural light. This was particularly important in this conservatory as it is open-plan to the kitchen which needed to remain bright.

Solar Design roman conservatory blinds
Solar Design roman fabrics are very soft so that they do not "bunch out" as much as stiffer fabrics when retracted and yet are solar reflective.
Unlike most cotton roman fabrics, Solar Design is manufactured from advanced man-made materials making them solar reflective, resistant to moisture as well as having anti-static, anti-oxidant and anti-fungicide treatments.

Roller blinds in a conservatory
Solar reflective roller blinds with reverse-rolled fabric (so that you cannot see the shiny reflective back) surface mounted into a PVC conservatory in Surrey.
Roller blinds create unavoidable gaps between neighbouring blinds because of the end fittings. This can only be avoided by manufacturing very wide blinds which require larger diameter steel roller tubes (to prevent sagging). This would then mean that you had less light control.
This installation has Solar Design pleated roof blinds.

Close up of recessed pleated window blind
Recessed pleated window blinds using Pure™ technology so that there are no gaps or ugly distortions to the fabric when fitted to PVC windows.
These stunning blinds are fitted to the glazing beads so that they look like part of the conservatory and allow the window to be opened and closed without operating the blinds.
Pleated fabrics are solar reflective and can be easily removed to wash, maintaining their "as new" appearance for many years.

Pinoleum window blinds
Smoothweave is manufactured from engineered wood, woven with polyester thread, which is then bound, stitched and edged with acrylic braid to provide a stable blind that will last for years even in a conservatory. The neat soft folds of pinoleum blinds in a conservatory really can create a more relaxing atmosphere, especially as wood is a natural sound insulator.
