Duette cellular fabric
Duette fabric is formed from a cellular construction which traps air in the cells to provide additional thermal resistivity. We offer Duette fabrics in two options:
Opaque - which allows light transmission (available in many colours & styles)
Blackout - which completely blocks out the light (Oscurax)
The obvious benefit of Duette is that there are no visible holes for cording and so it can provide the neatest installation, particularly in blackout house blinds.

Duette conservatory blinds
These Duette pleated blinds are recess-fitted in a timber conservatory. The shaped roof blinds have an additional rail to separate the blinds into two (a rectangular bottom blind and a triangular top blind).
Because Duette is quite a soft "springy" fabric it can "fan out" when retracted as part of a shaped blind and so Fabric Control Cording is added, which requires this extra rail to separate the blind in two.
Whilst this makes operation more complicated (having to move both rails in turn) it produces a far neater blind than if it were omitted.

Duette conservatory blinds
Duette window blinds are normally surface-mounted (as shown) unless the conservatory has deeper glazing beads or rafters. A design layout with surface-mounted blinds can cover more panes of glass than recessed blinds and so is often cheaper. This Hunter Douglas image also shows a separate blind fitted to a tilt/turn window.

The side blinds are all surface mounted with single blinds for each door and larger blinds covering multiple panes of glass where possible. The side blinds are all freehanging and operated by cordlocks - Hunter Douglas make the best cordlocks to control any freehanging blinds. More information:
