Our experience with Conservatory Blinds Ltd has been one of our better ones! Both Eddie (salesman) and Andy (fitter) know their product(s) very well. We are extremely pleased with the blinds and they were worth the money we paid for them - we got exactly what we ordered and have not had a hassle since they were fitted.

Everything happened smoothly with everyone being punctual and keeping to the schedule. The blinds really have made a massive difference to our conservatory and we can now use it all year round!

We are still delighted with the blinds, which look just as new and elegant today as they did when put up.

It is, of course, only in recent weeks that we have been able to judge their effectiveness in the heat, since they were not really needed in the winter and early spring. We find that, although the temperature of the conservatory can still rise to a high level, the glare and discomfort of a sunny day have both been eliminated.

Fortunately the kitten has not been tempted to climb up the blinds!

I am writing to say how pleased I am with my conservatory blinds. They are making so much difference in this cold weather, making the conservatory a room we can still use.

I was very impressed with the fitting of the blinds as the fitters worked very hard for two days to get 58 blinds put up efficiently and quickly. I am of the impression that it is the fitting that makes all the difference and I would highly recommend them.

I am especially pleased with the two different colours we have on the roof to the windows. Apart from being aesthetically pleasing to the eye and getting admiring comments from whoever comes to visit, having the darker roof has already made a difference on the sunny days we have had so far. In fact now I can see how good it looks I would not be averse to having much darker blinds in the future!

I really feel that darker roof blinds should be mentioned as an option to think about by your salespeople (rather dismissed by my salesperson) because it really makes a huge difference. I sincerely thank Martin for suggesting that it might be appropriate for my conservatory.

I am pleased to report that I am very satisfied with my blinds and the whole sales and installation procedure. All dates and times set were met.

The salesman was most obliging and not at all "pushy", especially in the light of the fact that I was changing my mind as I went along seeing and thinking of other options and products, which the salesman was happy to discuss with me in full.

I set out wanting verticals but in the end decided on pleated, all round, totally my decision but what I was being shown. Yes, twice as expensive but the end result is very pleasing and I am in no doubt that I made the correct decision.

I had made a thorough research of what kind of blinds I wanted and needed in my newly constructed conservatory. The aim was not to shut out sunlight but was to give me the opportunity of both privacy and any welcome reduction in solar gain during anticipated hot summer months and some better insulation in the winter as my new acquisition was to be a year round use.

These were the practical issues and I thought, like most people, I wanted them to be aesthetically suitable and economical although my last consideration was cost.

I mention cost lastly as I had viewed many products which looked reasonable and the cost was shall we say, economic but on closer inspection I felt that I would sacrifice quality. 

The company, Conservatory Blinds Limited was invited to my house to provide a quotation.

As the building’s roof was not straightforward, and was of a ‘hipped’ construction with several small triangle shapes I was concerned that any blinds fitted may not be tailored and might look slightly pedestrian?

All my concerns were allayed virtually instantly on arrival of the surveyor. Not only was the gentleman thoroughly knowledgeable about the product but his ease of delivery and reassurance about fitting times and processes gave me a very comfortable feeling.

The price I was quoted reflected quality and I have to admit it was rather more than I expected to pay but again, the Company offered me 10 months interest free payments and when I saw the blinds fitted I knew my judgement was sound.

Like many things in life, you really only get what you are prepared to pay for and I got it, quality. Everyone who visits my home makes comments on the blinds and how nice they look. They all state that they must have cost me a lot of money to which I reply, “why pay for a product that I may have to change several times due to either a poorer quality or a product that I was not really satisfied with, when I can have what I want, which is quality and in the long run will prove to be value for money?”

I have had my blinds installed for a few weeks now. This is our first conservatory and first blinds so I have no previous experience of their use to draw from. However, I have to say that I found the salesman very friendly and helpful, not at all pushy, although we pretty much knew what we were looking for anyway.

The man who installed them was also very friendly and quick, left no mess and was helpful with any questions regarding the care of the blinds. There was, however, some confusion over exactly what blinds we needed relating to the complexities of 'obtuse angle' blinds. This didn't really affect our satisfaction. Probably the single most important factor in the sale was the fact that you gave us a reasonable price from the start rather than (as was our experience of what is probably your leading competitor) suggesting a hugely inflated price and then 'going back' to try and see if he 'could do anything to bring the price down' - and knocking £3-4k off the price.....for me, that approach creates a lack of trust in the integrity of a company and if you had tried anything similar we would not be enjoying your blinds now.

He measured the blinds with hairsbreadth accuracy so that the finished job looks as tailored & streamlined as could possibly be achieved (which pleased me a lot, as little discrepancies really get to me over time). He was also a thoroughly nice person to deal with.

I'm aware this all sounds rather gushing, and if you wanted to use it as a testimonial it sounds as if you've written it yourselves - but I so rarely come across a group of people who fulfil my professional needs so completely that I wanted to take the time to express my appreciation with as much attention to detail as you've put into this project. I generally don’t write testimonials but after a nightmare year of dealing with unreliable contractors during our conservatory build, it was a total breath of fresh air to deal with Conservatory Blinds Ltd.

I researched various companies and had three come to the house to pitch. The Conservatory Blinds Ltd representative Tony, was the only one who didn’t make up stories (end of line material etc) to get us to sign on the dotted line and did not pressurise us in any way. They answered all of our queries over the weeks and as we wanted something not so regularly requested and we were a little unsure how they would look, they went so far as making up a mini blind for us to see the end product.

One of their fitters, Darren, took the time to come to the house to explain in detail how the various wires would look and sit against the beams and I was able to choose different colour wires to fit in with the conservatory. I was also able to choose different coloured fixtures for the top and bottom of the blinds. Overall we have been delighted with the end product and in particular the fantastic personal customer service and genuine concern for our satisfaction. Sadly, a seemingly rare thing to find these days.

We then went round and they measured for more in other rooms. John and Garry were great. Garry suggesting options and technical details to get over some of the spaces. He was also very precise about specs and what he wanted when asking John to write things down. We had our blinds fitted on 18th November. We are absolutely thrilled with them! They are stunning and make our conservatory look amazing! I really cannot express my gratitude enough to you for sending Jon round last Friday, he showed me how to remove the roof blinds and I was able to clean them and the surrounding plastic of accumulated dirt and mould during the past weekend, and I now feel much better. Thank you also, for sending two replacement pole heads, they arrived on Saturday!

We were visited by the salesman on two occasions and both times he was very friendly, helpful and not one bit pushy.

After we ordered, the Surveyor came to measure,he also fitted them three weeks later, he was very pleasant, informative and did an excellent job.

After our salesman had visited we looked no further because we were so impressed with his knowledge and obvious pride in the workmanship of the blinds.

At one point we enquired about an electronic device for opening and closing the blinds. He advised us against this as the room is a kitchen - even though we would have spent more! We felt that a less honest company would have sold us this anyway regardless of suitability.

We both thought the salesman was outstanding. Not pushy at all but very clear and extremely well prepared. He instilled confidence in the product.

The installer was held up on the day we had arranged for fitting, however he rang as soon as he knew he was going to be late and kept us informed all along. We were very pleased with his work and his approach. He was skilful, very focused and helpful in showing us how to work with the blinds.

We have been delighted with the product. When closed they allow a subtle light into the room and when they are open they are very neat and unobtrusive. We have yet to tackle removing them for a wash of course - - I'll probably put this off for years.

We would have no hesitation in recommending the product to friends and family.

I just wanted to let you know how pleased we were with the way that you have represented yourselves.

Firstly your contact has been really friendly, professional without being pushy and a credit to you, whilst keeping in contact at my request since about the end of June when the conservatory should have been finished.

I contacted two other national companies and also called you. You were the third company to visit us. We also asked two local companies to visit, but we cancelled those.

I have to say that the presentations from the other two were not a patch on you.

You were helpful and nothing was too much trouble. We had no idea that blind purchasing was such a minefield however you guided us through successfully without any explosions and we finally ordered 42 blinds.

You may be interested to know that one of the reasons that we wouldn't purchase from the other two companies was that they start at ridiculously high prices, presumably to gauge the response from the customer to see how far they need to drop. I do not like that way of doing business. Some people may be impressed with the size of the reductions but it is totally counterproductive with me.

You just measured up, we chose the blinds, you gave the price and, yes there was a little bit of haggling, but as a result of that we added a further 12 blinds to the order. Incidentally your main competitor quoted £900 more for our conservatory roof than you did. We cannot compare the cheaper company's price because they didn't quote like for like.

We were very, very pleased and eagerly awaited a superb product, successfully fitted.

I have also to say that you have by far the best web site for conservatory blinds. It is absolutely packed with useful information.

We had a good and professional service from the first telephone enquiry through to fitting. There was a slight delay in between placing the order and the fitter coming out to confirm the measurements.

The salesperson was very good, he let the product sell itself, demonstrating the unique features and we didn't feel pressured. He was punctual and followed up on any request for further information.

After seeing a number of companies about fitting pinoleum blinds in our orangery, we decided to go with your company. The main reasons for this were: the quality of the salesman, the competitive price and the quality and design of the blinds.

You have an excellent salesman who provided us with clear and full information about the product we were interested in. He was reliable, friendly, efficient and most importantly there was no hard sell or ridiculous posturing about prices, unlike the other companies we contacted! In comparison to others, the price he quoted was very reasonable and competitive. He also came a second time to answer further questions and finalise details of the order.

The quality and design of the blinds themselves were way ahead of those of other companies. The main attractions for us were the pelmet heading and the opening and closing mechanism, both of which were neat and stylish.

Our installer was also excellent. He fitted the blinds efficiently and fully explained the various options to us until we were clear about what we wanted. He was also friendly and efficient and left no mess.

In conclusion, we found the service offered by your company to be excellent in every respect and would have no hesitation in recommending it to others.

I have to say the service from both Joe and Lee was excellent and just what we needed. It was refreshing to meet Joe, an actual expert in blinds and also a true salesman. We had already met with 2 other companies and they were rubbish!

Lee was also great he was very efficient and also great with our 3 year old boy who wanted to watch him put up the blinds and obviously get in the way!

All our friends and neighbours have commented on how great the blinds look but none of them need any right now. Even during the hottest days over the last month we have used the conservatory all day long as a play room and that is only down to the fantastic blinds.

We were very happy with the product as installed and the service received - people arrived at the agreed times and did a good job in delivering the expected service when they were there. When one item was wrong / missing (these things happen) it was rectified exactly as agreed.

Comments on the people? Very happy to deal with both of them - sales were very informative and patient with us, had to push a couple of times on explanations, but on the other hand maybe I was just questioning too much? Very comfortable with the fitter - in his knowledge and manner, as well as attention to detail. We have been let down in the past with installers becoming aggressive and trying to pressure my wife into accepting poor work, so you were a welcome reminder of good service.
