Olympics Road Closures

With the London Olympics getting ever closer we are starting to see lane and road closures in London for road checks that are affecting traffic and causing added congestion.

It’s not just in London either, there will be road closures throughout the South East – in fact the cycle racing starts on 28th July in Surrey and involves road closures all around where our offices are based.

We are well used to working around major events: for instance the British Grand Prix at Silverstone and Wimbledon are well-known to us, so we book our appointments to avoid these areas wherever possible… but the Olympics are much, much bigger and cover a far greater area.

Although we are trying to make contingency plans for the reduced road networks and significant extra traffic arising from the Olympics, we have already experienced delays all around London and the main arterial roads radiating from the Home Counties.

It seems that the knock-on effects of these closures and restrictions are far reaching – way beyond the areas actually closed, as people are diverting away and causing further congestion within the road network, so please bear with us during July and August for the period of the Olympics.

With this in mind we are limiting appointments within London during the next two months.
