Wettest June in Over a Century Does Not Dampen Blind Sales

The Met Office reported yesterday that last June was the wettest June since records began in 1910, with over double the average amount of rainfall. Oddly enough, this has had no effect on the sales of conservatory blinds, as we are still finding this time of year to be our busiest.

Traditionally, the summer months are peak times for selling conservatory blinds as many people realise that their conservatory can become quite uncomfortable in the summer sun. Heat can build up over the day, making it a very uncomfortable room to stay in, and glare from the sun can stop people from being able to watch TV or use a laptop. People often seek out blinds to solve these problems by preventing heat build-up, reducing glare and simply providing some much needed shade.

However even in the rainy weather there are still benefits for conservatory blinds that keep them selling. With the lack of summer sun, the conservatory may actually start to get too cold, and so blinds are an ideal way to retain heat. They can also dampen the sound of rain hitting your conservatory roof (which many people will have heard a lot recently!), and the right colours can brighten a conservatory even on a grey day.

The best part about it is that when the weather does eventually turn warmer, they will already have the ideal way to keep their conservatory cool and comfortable. Speak to one of our salesmen to see how our blinds can help your conservatory no matter what the weather may bring.
