Energy Event 11

08 September 2011

Energy companies, construction specialists and specifiers from across the country will be meeting next week to discuss the biggest issues in energy efficiency and management.

Energy Event 11 at the NEC Birmingham

The Energy Event 11 will let professionals meet to discuss the best ways to manage their energy use, as well as comply with the latest regulations and energy initiatives.

Held in its new home of the NEC in Birmingham, the event features various seminars from industry experts, including speakers from npower and The National Grid, where they will provide useful advice and discussion on the latest methods of saving energy and reducing carbon. Across the floor of the event will also be various exhibits from leading energy suppliers, manufacturers and service providers where companies will be able to see the latest products to help energy management and get helpful advice.

The event follows the recent government guidelines from earlier this year aimed at reducing energy costs in modern construction. A relevant part of the Government Construction Strategy involves planning the use of blinds – a key method of reducing energy costs - into the designs of buildings from the start.

These guidelines can also relate to the construction of a new conservatory. Planning the use of energy saving conservatory blinds such as Solar Design Pleated Blinds before a conservatory is built not only allows us to tailor the blinds to fit exactly and neatly match the design of the conservatory, but also allows us to find the most efficient methods of reducing energy costs from a conservatory.
