Cold Spell Continues to Disrupt Travel

02 December 2010

With a third day of particularly bad snow and ice ahead, we once again expect some disruption. We have been advised that Royal Mail will again be unable to collect or deliver mail and we already have at least one installer who is unable to leave his house as Police have closed the road he lives in.

The main problem is that most B roads have not been gritted and hilly roads have become so icy that they are virtually inaccessible.

We will update this news article as more information becomes available, but at present we are unlikely to be able to attend appointments in the following areas today:

Surrey
Sussex
Kent
Hampshire
Essex
Suffolk
Norfolk
Lincolnshire
Yorkshire
Cleveland
Durham
Northumberland

Obviously we will endeavour to contact everyone affected, so please bear with us.

UPDATE 9.45am: The severe weather has obviously affected most of the major road networks causing significant delays. Obviously we regret any inconvenience caused, but as installers are already unable to reach their morning appointments, we have no option but to cancel most appointments for the day.
