No, there isn’t a work to rule – the shorter number of daylight hours has started to mean that conservatory blinds installers have to finish work around 4pm because the light is so low and conservatories commonly have such low lighting, that we cannot do our job properly if we work much later.

Yesterday was the first time that we had to cancel a survey appointment because we had run out of light. Whilst we may have been able to carry out the survey, the risk of making mistakes was so high that we couldn’t risk it.

Your survey is extremely important and we always emphasise that you should be there. You are not just letting us in to measure up. There are dozens of options that will affect how your blinds look and operate, as well as the important attention to detail.

Despite what may be claimed by other retailers, we are the only conservatory blinds specialist that actually employs installers and pays a salary. Every other company has self-employed fitters and pays a percentage commission or cost per blind fitted. We do not believe that this attracts the right calibre of people, nor does it promote the best quality of installation.
