At Conservatory Blinds Limited we take the issue of cord safety very seriously and carry out a number of blind installations within schools and nursery groups.

Nursery School Blinds

We have advised the Jancett Nurseries in Surrey about replacing their blinds and updating their cords resulting in a whole page dedicated to "Reducing Risks" in their Summer 2010 Edition of their Chatterbox magazine.

Blinds can be made safe after they have been fitted, but the cost is not necessarily much less than replacing vertical blinds. If flame retardant fabric hasn't been used on the existing blinds, then replacement is normally the only cost effective option.
