BBSA News - British Blind and Shutter Association
As Conservatory Blinds Limited are the largest conservatory blinds specialist members of the BBSA (British Blind and Shutter Association) we were asked to vote on changes to the BBSA Code of Practice and Memorandum of Association to modernise its role in an effort to include smaller members and blind companies in Ireland.
In addition there will be a requirement for members to conform to the child saftey requirements of EN 13120: 2009. The planned changes have been subject to a vote, but it is believed these will all go through.
To emphasise the need to include blind companies in Ireland, the BBSA have organised the first Irish Showcase for members to exhibit in Templepatrick (near Belfast) on 22nd September.
The exhibition will hopefully include many blind companies offering a diverse range of blinds, including conservatory blinds and patio awnings. Conservatory blinds in Ireland are still very popular and there remains a need for purpose designed blinds that fit the unique conservatory design and requirements in Ireland.
