How do I keep my pleated blinds in shape?
Our most popular ranges of pleated blinds have Fabric Control Cording on the roof blinds to not only help them stay in shape when they are extended, but also to prevent "fanning" of the fabric when they are retracted.
Part of this cording is an equalised pleating cord that runs down the back of the blind and retains the pleat spacing. Nevertheless we recommend that you regularly retract all of your blinds (including side blinds).
If you have purchased one of our purpose-designed conservatory blind ranges the recommended fabrics have permanent pleats which never completely disappear, even if you have allowed them to flatten by not operating them for a long time.
If you do leave them to flatten, retract them carefully (making sure that they are pleated properly) and leave them overnight. For more information, refer to our care instructions (provided at installation).
